I know its a bit rhetorical to us but my stint as a technical support for a local hospital have taught me patience in educating the senior citizens as well as those that are non-IT proficient. In view of the ongoing viruses and spywares lurking on the Internet, let me take this opportunity to do a mini thesis about this whole issue. For those that are oblivious to all these technical information, treat this as another information needed to be understand in this information superhighway era. Ok I’ve added in another interesting (hopefully) IT topic that
should be able to make you understand that there is a difference between Singnet
and Pacific Internet BROADBAND connection and Starhub’s CABLE MODEM
services. More often than not, I normally end up having to explain to some
of my punters the disparity between these two as most of us tend to mix up
between broadband and cable modem. Some even thought that cable IS broadband,
which is a definite NO-NO.
