Teen Burns Classmate, Blames World Of Warcraft
By katak | December 28, 2007
After losing a schoolyard fight, a 17-year-old boy in Beijing recently covered a classmate with gasoline and lit him on fire, claiming he was a fire mage in World of Warcraft.[ link here ]
I want to know how it got that far in the first place. Where did he get the gasoline and matches? Also, what kind of a person doesn’t get suspicious when someone starts pouring gasoline on you ?
Its really stupid to blame the makers of the game for the actions of the 17 year old. After all he’s 17, not 7. Luckily the court deemed him currently unfit for society and jailed him instead of blaming Blizzard.
- A South Korean man dies after playing Starcraft for 50 hours straight.
- An online gamer from Shanghai kills another gamer for selling his sword he won in Legend of Mir 3.
- An infant daughter dies after her South Korean parents leave her unattended to play World Of Warcraft.
- A Chinese man dies after playing games on the internet for three days straight.
And now this.
