Technology in Education

When is the computer considered a hindrance to learning?

Some people simply think that they should be using technology in every single aspect of their teaching, simply because it is the next cool thing to do. But I beg to differ.

Growing Years package – homosexuality issues

In 2005, LHL mentioned that homosexual people are also human beings like you and I. In 2007, LTY, said that homosexuals are similar to bestiality, paedophiles and others alike. In other words, inferior species or rather, 2nd class citizens.

So if we were to put them together, homosexuals are people like us who are into bestiality, paedos, etc.

Hmm.. as contradicting as it may sounds, this is an example of facts that are segregating the nation, which have its roots stemmed from deep within our education system.

Respect, love and …

I came across this as I was reading a book in the school library. I was so fascinated by it that I decided to put it up here for my references, at least in the not so distant future.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender,be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant;they too have their story.

Tribute to the people we call Teachers

Personally, I agree that a good education is an essential part to success. But irregardless of how book smart you are, you need ambition and to know what is within your heart in order to make your life meaningful.

I’ve met people from different characters and backgrounds who may well possess the intellect that NASA may be looking for but who can’t even do infinitesimal stuff, daily stuff that is.

As such, I’m not trying to make any preconceived notion here but I must salute those boys from SCDF who more often than not, have been *labelled* by the society as being the lowest in terms of organisational attitudes as compared to their other Ministries counterparts.
