It was night of arrogance, show-offs, hao-lians, sarcastic remarks and whatchamacallits.
A night when you know it will not end soon and you really are going to miss Incredible Tales at 2200 hrs.
A night, my first, to see how the C/i/v/i/l/ D/e/f/e/n/c/e Executive Committee members conduct their monthly meeting. Coincidentally, this group won the award for most fire safety and watchgroup activities carried out last year. Little wonder how they manage to garner so many award despite all their tongue-lashing last wednesday.
Of course, there were some who were already half-way to Lala-land. But I simply can’t resist to sit back and observe how the chairman, being the loudest of them all, control the meeting flow, despite all the words being thrown back and forth.
What a nice way to start my reservist. Meeting adjourned at 1030 hrs.
