It’s as if they knew what I was ranting about. A few days after I was expressing on my aversion on the performance appraisal, I received a letter yesterday (FINALLY!) from HR, regarding the issue mentioned.
The letter was dated 3rd February but I received one day before payday. How screwed up is that?!

Last year, when the Co. was under the sovereignty of the Mothership, performance appraisal and ranking was done two months before the cut-off date.
That soon change when they embarked on their own. Now, payday is 5 more days and we, in this project, don’t have a damn clue what on Earth are our rankings and no one can give a definite answer whether has it been done in the first place or not?
End User Term comprehension
For the past few months, I believe that by first understanding their language and habits, we can shorten the gap between them (the customers) and us (the tech support aka Helpdesk). I have spent the last two years of my life, working with, talking among and chatting with them in their environment; and yet I still can not say that I completely understand these customers.
