Success AND Failure

Success are those that manage to realise their mistakes before its the end of the journey for them.

Failure are those punks that have the sheer audacity to pop that banana fritters into their mouth while touring Geylang Bazaar during the mid-noon of the fasting period.

Success are those that manage to cry their heart out, whose heart was dedicated to the love of God, the one love that remains solid against the test of time.

Failure are those that did not gain anything during the 1 month fasting except hunger and thirst.

Success are for those that believe they are not yet good enough to succeed in their afterlife while failure are those that believe they have attain enough goodwill to last them for the lifetime.

On another note, the Suria Bazaar is a total fuckflop. So bad that I think the organisers themselves are glad that it is over.

Too hyper, too much publicity but nothing worth buying/looking. I guess the Malays who flocked down there were only looking at the events being staged during the weekends. It can never replace the surreal-ness when one step into the Geylang Bazaar.

And its not even situated at Kg Glam for goodness sake!!

More like Raffles Hospital Bazaar, only the latter would probably sound like they are giving away medical stuff on sale 😉

User education is pointless

Forget about teaching computer users how to be safe online.

Users are often called the weakest link in computer security. They can’t select secure passwords, and they write down passwords and give them out to strangers in exchange for treats. They use old or outdated security software, can’t spell the word “phishing,” and click on all links that arrive in e-mail or instant messages, and all that appear on the Web.

“Might it be so that we use the term and concept of user education as a way to cover up our failure?” he asked a crowd of security professionals. “Is it not somewhat telling them to do our job? To make them be a part of the IT organization and do the things that we are bound to do as a specialized organization?”

“I don’t believe user education will solve problems with security because security will always be a secondary goal for users.”

Light a candle for victims of online child abuse

The innocent victims of Internet child abuse cannot speak for themselves.

But you can.

With your help, we can eradicate this evil trade.

We do not need your money.

We need you to light a candle of support .

We’re aiming to light at least One Million Candles by December 31, 2006.

This petition will be used to encourage governments, politicians, financial institutions, payment organisations, Internet service providers, technology companies and law enforcement agencies to eradicate the commercial viability of online child abuse.

They have the power to work together. You have the power to get them to take action.

Please light your candle or send an email of support to light@lightamillioncandles.com.

Together, we can destroy the commercial viability of Internet child abuse sites that are destroying the lives of innocent children.

Kindly forward this link to your friends, relatives and work colleagues so that they can light a candle too.
