A friend of mine once told me that as a teacher, one must speak the truth with the child because they will certainly hear.
Wrong man.
Wrong Wrong Wrong.
At least not while doing relief duty.

Is it just me or does most school’s contact time aka meetings too draggy and most of the time, most of the agenda doesn’t concern everyone ?
Either that or they consist of useless things like reviews of program that were carried out and no one really cares about the reviews anyway. In the end, we’ll just put something politically correct down so we can get over and done with the entire affair.
Hmm.. I think there is something that is not quite right about it but then again, I am not sure how to resolve it either.
Guess what I stumbled upon while I was kayaking earlier this afternoon ?

No, not that one but this….
One pupil told me earlier this morning that he’d found a cat, but it was dead.
“How do you know that the cat was dead?” I asked him.
“Because I pissed in its ear and it didn’t move,”answered the child innocently.
“You did WHAT???” I exclaimed in total shock.
“You know,” explained the boy, “I leaned over and went ‘Pssst!’ and it didn’t move.”
Kids. They definitely say the darnedest things.
All praise to God for allowing me to pass through the second week nicely despite a few hiccups here and there.
Indeed, teaching life have opened my eyes even more and watching the kids behave and how the learning process works from a different point of view is truly an enriching experience.
On some days, I’m not so good at communicating with people. Sometimes I might think I know what other people are thinking and feeling, but I don’t really. I can only guess.
If there is one thing I’ve learned about teaching (among the millions of things I feel like I am learning by the second), it is that every single day is a whole new game. As long as I get up in the morning and keep going to face first period, it will get better and I will get better. That doesn’t mean the first few weeks is going to be easy.
At last, after almost 4 years of technical support, I bid my company goodbye. Its been a very emotional rollercoaster ride but some things are best to left where it is and move on.
A new chapter is beginning with my new career on hand. Wish me luck guys !!
