What could be better than google earth you ask? How bout being able to track real time weather, fires, floods, sandstorms all across the globe by the click of the mouse! Also maps of Saturn, the Moon, EVEN A DEEP SPACE VIEWER!
Point to Note: The code requires DirectX to compile. Also, this program is two years old. I used to use it, but it was a massive download (though it is far smaller now), and a lot of the extra features go unused. Google Earth displaced this almost immediately because it was so much smaller and had a bigger range of maps.

Guess who is taking over the world
This pair of maps show the global presence of Starbucks coffee shops and McDonald’s restaurants. When examined graphically, both companies act as global hubs that connect some of the world’s poorest, most remote countries with some of the wealthiest.
Very cool yet freaky at the same time! Thank god they are all over the world. I can’t imagine having to take vacations without my coffee or McSpicy burger!! 🙂
